Ati Crossfire Xtension V1.4
Compaus, Instead of bothering with CFX with WoW just up your core clock on your 597 Windows Home Server 2011 Restore Cd Iso. 0. I noticed a drop in FPS since 4.0.3 on my 5970, but if you up the core from 725MHz to 775 or even 800MHz there is no problem whatsoever. No I will not overclock my gpu if only half of it is working! But now I'm having problems with the crossfire extension. I chose the directory as the wow launcher icon. I enable it to force aa and af.
But when I click launch wow just pops an error up and says 'Cannot obtain patching information. Please check your network configuration etc' Can anyone help? Really want crossfire to work when I go into major cities in wow.
With latest Cats 10.4, Crossfire Xtension won't work. I tried with Assassin Creed 2 and the ATi's Screen Space demo and the performance didn't improve.
One major city is Dalaran and it's full of players, and I get like 30 – 40fps in it. That's most likely nothing to do with your graphics card but more to do with the number of players in the city and server load. I find that my poor computer struggles when using eyefinity accross 3 screens everywhere so I have to reduce detail but if you aren't having issues anywhere else other than the major cities it's not a graphics problem. BTW I am using a single 5850 and was considering getting a second but if theres no CF support then theres not much point:-(. Update: As the extension didn't work I had to run the repair tool. Now the CFX logo seems to appear but now it wont go away if i disable it.
Can anyone help? Right click the ATI icon near the clock and click 1.ATI radeon 5900 series then down the bottom in crossfirex settings. That turns off the crossfire icon on the screen. So I got home and got on WoW, ive enabled the Afterburner stats on my g19 and sure enough, WoW is using both cores:) How much fps is it on with both gpus? I tested it a while ago and go around 40fps on ultra, only using 1 gpu.
Right click the ATI icon near the clock and click 1.ATI radeon 5900 series then down the bottom in crossfirex settings. That turns off the crossfire icon on the screen. Yes, I did do this to disable it. But it wouldn't go away even with it off.
I removed all the drivers, did a search on amd and catalyst and deleted anything that it found. I then reinstalled the drivers and it fixed that issue. How much fps is it on with both gpus? I tested it a while ago and go around 40fps on ultra, only using 1 gpu I get 50 min and 60max fps most of the time but I have no idea how to know if both gpu's are running when I play wow.
